Tracking the activity and investments in the rapidly expanding InsurTech space is one thing. It is quite another for an individual insurer to assess which trends and companies are most relevant and which are likely candidates for partnering or investment, or even which ones to monitor as potential new competitors.
This research report, jointly developed with St. Nick Media, introduces the InsurTech Maturity Model, an approach that individual insurers can use to assess and make sense of the InsurTech universe. Three stages are outlined to enable insurers to identify and begin to evaluate candidate InsurTech companies for monitoring, investing, or partnering. The report also provides practical guidance for developing strategies and putting plans into action.
Figure 1 is an example of the research, showing nine categories of InsurTech firms, and the percentage of startups in each area.
