Mark F. Roth is Vice President, Business Development for SMA. In this role, he is responsible for account management, new business development for solution providers, and sponsorship sales for the annual SMA Summit. 

"I was fortunate to start my career successfully engaging with and selling directly to insurance companies and agencies. That experience has given me a lot of “street cred” with the solution provider community in the insurance industry. There is so much energy in our industry right now. Everyone is looking to seize it. I believe I am in the perfect position to help connect solution providers to these opportunities by guiding them in how to best utilize the services offered by SMA."

Prior to joining SMA, Mark served for nine years as the vice president of business development for the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA). His responsibilities included exhibit sales for the association’s annual conference, vendor and industry partnerships, sponsorships for the IASA Executive Education Program events, and other efforts targeted at gaining recognition for IASA within the insurance industry. He has an extensive background in sales, business development, and account management for companies within or serving the insurance industry.

Mark began his career in insurance with The National Underwriter Company (National Underwriter), a leading insurance industry publisher. He holds a BBA from the University of Cincinnati.
